Junding Oil Tank Construction
INFORMATION
Project:Junding Oil Tank Construction
Location:Taiwan
Description:The Junding Oil Tank project involved the construction of a 100,000 kL capacity oil tank with an inner diameter of 88.4 m and a height of 20.7 m. Due to soil settlement, the tank bottom experienced differential subsidence, reducing its usable storage height to less than 9 m — below 60% of the original design. The client initially planned to use a traditional welded steel support method, which required extensive on-site labor and time.
Sucoot was commissioned to provide a modernized, labor-saving, and time-efficient shoring solution. The structure used our shoring scaffolding systems and Top Beam for quick assembly. After the steel plate welding and floating roof installation were completed, the scaffolding system was dismantled.
Challenges
01
Traditional welded shoring required high labor input and long work hours.
02
Complex internal structure of the floating roof demanded high precision and safety.
Sucoot's Solutions
01
Supplied modular scaffolding and shoring systems to replace on-site welded supports.
02
Accelerated construction while reducing manpower and ensuring precise alignment.
03
Demonstrated a modern, efficient alternative for large-scale oil storage tank maintenance and reconstruction.
