Cultural Facilities & Heritage Restoration
Preserving History, Supporting the Future — Applications of Sucoot’s Ring Lock System in Heritage Restoration and Cultural Facility Construction
Highly Stable Scaffolding for Heritage Restoration
Heritage projects demand scaffolding with exceptional self-stability, since anchoring to the building is not allowed.
At the Luce Memorial Chapel restoration project at Tunghai University, Sucoot’s engineering team designed a scaffold with a self-supporting structure that provided a safe and stable work platform without anchoring to the historic building.
Made of high-strength steel with precision ring connections, provides a secure platform without harming the structure — proven in projects like the Luce Memorial Chapel.
Modular Flexibility for Irregular Architecture Surface
From curves to arches, cultural landmarks often feature complex geometries.
The Sucoot Ring Lock System can be configured with different lengths of horizontals, diagonals, and suspended brackets to create work platforms that safely bring workers close to the building’s surface.
For example, in the Eight Trigram Mountains Buddha Restoration Project, the statue’s surface included complex concave and convex shapes.
Sucoot’s design team engineered scaffolding that fit seamlessly around the contours without touching the structure — enabling the crew to complete the restoration work safely and efficiently.
High-Capacity Temporary Shoring for Steel Structures
During steel construction, beams and columns are often hoisted into place before the full structural stability is achieved, which requires temporary shoring to ensure safety.
Certified by third-party testing, one Sucoot’s Ring Lock System shoring towers can withstand up to 72 tons per tower.
On site, they can be assembled quickly as temporary supports, and when paired with adjustable jack base and U-head jake base, fine-tuning for dimensional variations is fast and precise.
This ensures the steel frame remains stable and aligned throughout construction until welding or bolting is completed.
